Every week, the 3 best stories left in the comments on Shirl Cooks videos each win a free copy of Shirl's Aussie Kitchen. This is a competition of skill. Winners are picked on how good their story is, not by a random draw, and you don't need to subscribe to enter.

How to enter
Leave a top-level comment on a Shirl Cooks video that answers that week's question. The question is in the pinned comment. Replies to other comments don't count. Please keep the story your own; copied, offensive or spam comments won't be judged.
When
Each week runs from Monday 12:00 am to Sunday 11:59 pm, Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST). Comments left after Sunday night go into the next week.
Judging
The Shirl Cooks team reads every entry and picks the 3 best and most original stories. The judges' decision is final.
The prize
Each winner gets one digital copy (PDF) of Shirl's Aussie Kitchen, valued at US$27. There's no cash alternative.
How winners are told
We reply to each winning comment and ask the winner to email hello@shirlscookbook.com within 14 days. We send the book to that email address. If we don't hear from a winner within 14 days, that prize lapses.
We will never ask for your address, phone number, bank details or any other personal details in the comments. If someone does, it isn't us.
Who can enter
You must be 18 or older. Each person can win once a month at most.
